System of Liaququ

Central star of the system.

Canonical name: Liaququ
IAO official name: Gamma Pavonis
Nickname: Eye, the.
Constellation (E): Pavo
Distance to Sol: 28.44 ly
Spectra: F6-8V
Mass: 1.77 Sol
Absolute magnitude: +4.24
Diameter: 2.2 Sol
Surface temperature: 7500K
Age: 3.2 billion years (est.)
Lifespan: 5 billion years (est.)

The central star of the Liaququ system is a hot, pale yellow subgiant. It is a main sequence star, fusing hydrogen into helium. It is however past the middle of its shorter lifespan due to its higher mass and temperature than Sol's. Sunspot and flare activity are relatively low for this type of star, but when the first colonists arrived, a huge sunspot( 700,000 km across) acompanied by equally huge flares and protuberances was visible to the naked eye near the star's equator, hence the nickname "The Eye" given to it by the colonists.
