The biggest planetary body in the Liaququ system, Liaququ 5 surely
deserves its alias, Godzilla. Its huge mass and diameter and superlative
magnetic and gravitational fields truly make it a monster of a gas giant.
Two large moons orbit this behemoth, one twice the size of Mars and
one slightly smaller. No less than 1024 asteroidal bodies with diameters
less than 50 km also revolve around Godzilla, and slowly arrange themselves
into a new moon, a process which will end in a couple million years.
No rings are present around Godzilla. The orbit's unusual inclination
of almost 21 degrees is believed to have originated in a collision followed
by a merge with a smaller gas giant which is also responsible for Godzilla's
large mass. Less favourable for fuel scooping due to its huge gravitational
pull, it is however a popular spot for hyperbolic slingshot orbits that
come very close to the cloud tops. Many pilots found their doom trying
to go just a couple of klicks lower than the ones before them. Besides
this, the Liaququans have found little use for their oversized gas giant.
