In many ways, 5b is the smaller sister of 5a. It has the same internal composition, the same thin atmosphere, the same unusually tilted orbit, the same low density (altough higher than 5a's) and even the same landscapes.
The expanding industry of Liaququ demanded increased amounts of light metal which could not be fulfilled by the mines on 5a. So in 3099 a mining outpost was established on 5b, from then on known as Second Mine. Today, 550 workers are busy extracting alumina, lithium and boron from 5b's interior. As with 5a, no starport is present and orbit is reachable by RLVs.
Except for those with an interest in mining operations, 5a and 5b have nothing to offer to a potential visitor.
